Bringing Breakfast Back

Intermittent fasting is a trendy topic right now. There’s a wealth of information online discussing pros and cons. Is breakfast the most important meal of the day still, like we’ve always heard? Maybe. Maybe not. Regardless, we all know how important it is for our bodies to be in a state of rest (such as when we’re sleeping) for our cells to perform optimally.  We also know how important it is to fuel our bodies with the essential nutrients required for optimum health. So whatever camp you’re in, make sure you’re not limiting your body from the premium fuel it deserves.  “Health is Wealth”.  That’s one thing no one can disagree with.  Here are some ideas for nutrient-packed breakfasts. It’s a good idea to make sure your breakfast is a combination of at least one food high protein, one that’s high in fiber and at least one fruit or veggie.

  • Oatmeal
  • Unsweetened Greek Yogurt
  • Eggs
  • Fruit
  • Cottage Cheese
  • Whole Wheat or Sourdough Bread
  • Nuts
  • Nut Butters (almond, cashew, peanut, etc)
  • Smoothies

Let us know in the comments what your favorite breakfasts are and be sure to look for inspiration in the recipe finder.  Would love to know if anything, such as the Overnight Oats or Superfood Greek Yogurt Bowl makes your weekly, or daily, rotation!
