Banana Shake

A healthy dose of protein to enjoy for Breakfast or for an afternoon energy shake to get you thru the rest of the day feeling good!    Feel free to add any additions such as chia seeds or hemp hearts.  

Bananas store easily in the freezer when they're kept in their skin and frozen.  When ready to use, place the frozen banana under running water for a few seconds first and it will be able to peel easily.  

Ingredients

 1 frozen banana
 2 tbsp almond butter or peanut butter (unsalted & no sugar is best)
 2 dates, pitted
 1 ½ cups almond milk

Directions

Run frozen banana under water for 30 seconds to loosen peel. Peel banana, using a knife if easier, to cut peel off. Chop banana into large chunks.

Add all ingredients to a high powered blender and mix well until smooth.

Pour into a glass and enjoy!
