Gochujang Grilled Salmon

A little spicy, a little sweet.  A quick and easy Korean-inspired recipe to kick your salmon up a notch. Make it a healthy bowl with your favorite rice (or other grain) and vegetables for a perfect, simple meal.

Ingredients

 4 salmon filets
 3 tbsp Gochujang Sauce
 2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp tamari sauce (soy also works)
 1 tsp grated, freshly grated
 1 tbsp sesame oil
sliced scallions and sesame seeds for garnish

Directions

1

Place salmon filets in a large bowl. Whisk together the Gochujang, honey, tamari, ginger and sesame oil.  Pour 1/2 the marinade over the salmon, and let sit for at least 20 minutes. Reserve the remaining sauce to heat and drizzle over salmon or bowl before serving

2

Preheat a grill to medium heat. Place salmon on an oiled grill rack and grill for 15-20 mins, flipping the salmon halfway through. A broiler may also be used. Temperature should read 140° when fully cooked. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.

Reserved marinade may be heated slightly and drizzled over salmon or salmon bowls before serving.
