Organic Chocolate Kefir Smoothie

Perfect remedy, ideal the afternoon energy slump!    Or for breakfast, if you fancy! 

~Organic Kefir
~Organic banana
~Organic almond butter (unsweetened)
~Organic dates
~Organic cacao nibs
~Organic chia & hemp seeds

Like many fermented foods, kefir is packed with probiotics, vitamins and minerals, and other characteristics that will help to keep us healthy. Eating kefir and other fermented foods consistently has an array of benefits some being to possibly lower blood sugar, help prevent infections, and

Note: this smoothie recipes makes approximately 2 8oz portions.   You can cut the recipe in half if just making for one, or refrigerate the other one for later. 

Ingredients

 1 large frozen banana
 1 ½ cups unsweetened Kefir
 2 tbsp unsweetened almond butter
 1 tbsp chia seeds
 2 tbsp hemp seeds
 2 tbsp cacao nibs
 4 dates, pitted
 4 cubes ice (optional)

Directions

Run frozen banana underwater for 30 seconds to loosen peel peel banana using a knife if easier to cut peel off. Chop banana into large chunks.

Add banana and all remaining ingredients to a high-powered blender and mix well until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
